Rudy's Hot Dog 10, Guardian Angels 1

Rudy's Hot Dog
In a great defensive game Rudys was able to outlast a good Guardian Angels team by a score of 10 To 1. Great pitching performance by Mike (Woody) Wilson and no serious misques by the Hot dogs helped secure the victory. Jon Le Beau, Rich Knapp, Mike Wilson all went 3 for3. John Kirchoff had two hits and had a busy night in the outfield making some good timely fielding plays. Phil Franklin in his debut at second made a great play.

Guardian Angels
The Guardian Angels had an off night Tuesday. In the first game they lost to the Hotdogs 2 to 1. There were not many highlights seeing how they only had 9 hits. Rich Stager and Mark Keeling were both 2 for 3. It was just an off night and I am confident we will come back.

Harvard Barber Shop
The Barbers bats came alive with a 25-16 win over Kreiger. Our 35 hit attach was led by Meyer 5/5, Bolinger, Schlenbaker, and Fox all 4/5. Everyone in the lineup had at least 1 hit.

Citizens Advisory 17, Glass City 10

Glass City Investigations
It was a wet and windy evening not conducive to playing softball but the Investigators and Advisors gutted it out and had a good time. Citizens didn’t bother with any singles for the first few innings and put up 5, 5 and 4 runs the first three innings with a barrage of extra base hits. Dale Knepper had a fine defensive game scooping several balls on errant throws and fielding some hot shots. Mark Vonderembse and Kevin Kagle led Glass City on offense both with nice 3/3 games.

Citizens Advisory
Not wishing to have back to back rain cancelled games, the Investigators and Advisors admirably battled in a drenching rain and bog-like field. Three big CAG innings sealed the 17-10win over GCI. To help speed up the game at a score of 17-6 going into the bottom of the 6th, GCI batted the bottom of the 6th and 7th innings sequentially scoring 2 runs in each inning. Paul Wesolowski and Mike Nidek were a perfect 3/3 with Wesolowski posting 2 triples and three runsscored. Bill Bray was 2/4 with an ISP home run, triple and plated 2 runs. Rob Ravin was 2/3 witha nice ISP HR and run scored. Pat Hoehn was 2/2 with a walk and a run scored. Adding substantially to the 23 hit team effort were Dave Cramer at 3/4, Mark Gedert at 2/3, Dave Ashman and Bill Green were 2/4. All four players crossed the plate twice. Muddy and wet but worth it
