Fricker's Maroon wins with 12-2 record!

The Maroon Men dropped the regular season finale to a fine Green squad, but it doesn’t detract from the outstanding season that we had. Aside from the first year of this league when there are no recorded stats, we had the best record and best run margin in the history of the Legends League. Rookie Ed Reed put together what is possibly the best season anyone has ever had in the league. In 11 games, Ed hit .875 ( 35-40) scored 33 runs, had 16 OTF HR’s with 47 RBI, and a 2.200 slugging pct. Bob Zubkoff played an outstanding MI and hit .756 with 10 2B, 7 OTF HR’s and 30 RBI. Scott ” Peanut” Lannen was simply outstanding in the IF and hit .700. Kyle Green had a great year pitching and fielding, and hit .612 with 25 RBI. Jon LaBeau was steady as always at SS and finished at .679 with 28 runs and 15 RBI. Tim Kuszmaul was as good as ever in the OF and hit .642 with19 RBI. Dave Obert was nearly flawless in LF and hit .588 over the last half dozen games. Rick Obert played a great 3rd base and hit .556 with 15 RBI. Jeff Mikolajewski hit.690 over our last 9 games to finish at .600 with 4 2B 3 3B and 17 RBI. Jim Elchert, the consummate teammate, had another stellar year in the OF and finished with 20 RBI. Scott Dheel was steady all year and hit .600 over the last 6 games. Kevin Berry played 5 games in the first half and was very good at 1st base and hit .647. Thanks for a great year guys.
