Fricker's Todd Omey's homerun big blow in 7th!
In the Legends Tournament championship game, you couldn’t ask for a better game going down to the wire with the green machine winning in the bottom of the seventh inning.
It was a barn-burner with a lot of hits and runs for both teams, neither team giving up. What a way to the end the season for the Frickers Green Machine. A great bunch of guys, team players and great softball players. Batting leaders were Todd Omey 4-4, double and 2 home runs, the second one was a 2 run shot in the 7th to tie the game at 17. The Avery Cooper with one of his 2 clutch hits in the 7th to knock in the winning run to seal our victory. Cosmo was a force all season long leading off had 2 hits, Dave Sanecki 2 hits, Terry Patterson 3-4, John Corria 3-4. Joe Pastorek pitching for us all season long and doing it with a lot of heart and competiveness went 3-4 and showing off his legs tonight. Paul Wesolowski 3-4, Monty Coffman 2-3 and his wife bringing us victory cupcakes and Avery getting a face full of icing from Jeff Kramer( it was funny ), Ed Calderon hit the ball hard but came up short - he sent one to the warning track but it was caught. Jerry Daniels went 1/3, Jeff Aiello hit the ball well but got one hit which turned into an inside the park home run. Hats off the Joe Beham and the Frickers Red team for a great season and great game.
