KING OF SWAT! Fricker's David Samecki hit 5 out of ten pitches out of the park at the SSS annual Cookout/Home-run Derby event to win the "King of Swat" title for the 50's bracket. Doug Meek won the 60's bracket with 4 out of ten pitches hit out.

A special plaque honoring his contribution and a round of applause from the players, plus the first pitch, the Fricker's chicken - who distributed gift cards for chicken wings - tipped off a gala opening night at Pacesetter Park. The SSS league was established in 2008.
