Sam and fiancé Ryan Yockey have set July 8, 2023, to exchange wedding vows. Sam teaches the 6-7 & 8th grades at Arbor Hills Junior High school and coaches' girls' basketball. Andy & Barney's Sports Bar has sponsored a team for 13-years.

ANDY & BARNEY'S Samantha Sarmento and fiancé Ryan Yockey greeted the many SSS players who congratulated the happy couple on their July 8, 2023 planned wedding. The A&B team: Guy Stager party coordinator, surprised Sam with a giant cake and gifts. Sam has greeted members of the SSS Masters League on Tuesdays for the last five years. " A very special lady, who greets players with a big smile and a friendly word!" Stager said.

ANDY & BARNEY'S Samantha Sarmento was treated to a surprise party by A&B team mates in honor of her wedding announcement to Ryan Yockey. Nuptials are planned for July 8, 2023. Sam is a 6-7 & 8th grade teacher at Arbor Hills Junior High school and coaches' girls basketball. Cake, a card, signed by SSS players and gifts topped off the fun night.

GREAT LOOKING UNIFORMS! Tina Batanian cheers for Jeff and Batanian Tree Service team-mates, as they lumber thru the Master's league to finish 8-8. Nine teams competed on Tuesdays, with Ott Plumbing winning the league with a 14-2 record.

26th ANNIVERSARY! Heidi and Darrell Berry celebrate their 26th Wedding Anniversary at Pacesetter Park. Berry plays for Ott Plumbing, who won the Tuesday Masters League with a 14-2 record.

BARROW'S PARTY! Gabe Barrow, left, Legend League team sponsor, presented player/manager Jay Schramm, center, with a hooded jacket with his name and the Barrow's Jeweler's logo in appreciation of the commitment Schramm has made to the team and the league. Team mate Jim Elchert and friends partied at Fricker's. Gabe is recovering from his second knee replacement surgery this year.

CELEBRATING FIRST WIN OF '22! Suzie and Reggie Truss joined team mates at Fricker's after defeating Fricker's White 19-17 for their first win, improving team record to 1-3. Truss was 3/5 with 4-RBI.

WE LOVE THIS FRIGGIN' PLACE! Rick Beham, left and Marty Schmenk joined friends Thursday night at Fricker's, Sylvania. Ribs and wings - great way to celebrate!

PARTY TIME AT FRICKER'S! Jim and Amy Elchert and their daughter McKenzie joined Gabe Barrow and friends at Fricker's for the team party. Gabe, former SSS Board member and long time SSS sponsor, is recovering from his second knee replacement surgery in one year.

BARROW'S VS. FRICKER'S - no contest here!... Just good friends, Gabe Barrow, left and Joe Beham having fun at Fricker's. Barrow joined team mates at Fricker's - just five weeks after knee replacement. In the immortal words of the "Arnold", Barrow promised: "I'll be back!"

Out for the season - he broke his hand running to catch a line drive in the outfield. He only got to play in three games in the Masters' Tuesday league for A&B!

ROOKIE MEETS VETERAN! Dave Luce, left is new to the SSS League and meets veteran shortstop Eric Effland at pre-season practice at Pacesetter Park. The Tuesday Masters League kicks-off on May 10 and the Thursday League starts May 12.

Larry Wilcznski, left, and Dave Kunz each won a $50 Fricker's gift card. Practices start Tuesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 14 at 6pm at Pacesetter Park thru April 28. League play begins May 10 and May 12.

LAMAR Billboards is donating two billboards, at the 501(C)3 charitable rate, to the Sylvania Senior Softball League to promote our upcoming 2022 season. The boards go up March 15 and will be located at Monroe and Secor and at Airport and Reynolds Rd.
