Mark Vonderembse

The Sylvania 65 team is managed by Gary Meyer and Mark Vonderembse with Gary managing the team on game day and Mark handling the behind the scenes organizational issues. Gary is the proprietor of Harvard Barber Shop and manages the Harvard Barber Shop team that plays 58 and over in SSS. Gary is one of the founder of SSS, and he was its first president. He stepped down as president in 2013 after six year at the helm. Gary has played competitive softball for more than five decades. Mark spent 38 years as a faculty member and administrator at the University of Toledo, retiring in June of 2013. He played softball from the late 1960s until the early 1980s dropping out to manages and watch his kid play ball. He started playing senior softball in 2001 and plans to play more now that he is retired.
