WSPD news radio personality Fred LeFebvre hosted the WWAST event Saturday, May 26 at Mercy Field. WSPD radio is a generous supporter of the WW fund-raiser and Fred is a vital part of it's success here in Toledo. The event raised $20,000 for the WW charities.

AWESOME! Staff Sgt., (retired) Cody Rice brought the crowd to their feet with a tremendous blast over the 362-ft. fence in left center at Mercy Field, May 26. The WWAST squad was 3-0: defeating the Toledo Police, the SSS Veterans/Celebrities team and the Sylvania tournament team. The ball landed an estimated 385-ft.

CORPORAL (retired) Saul Bosquez is from Adrian, Michigan. He was deployed to Baghdad in 2007. His vehicle was hit by an IED. The injuries he sustained resulted in his left leg, below the knee being amputated. He currently resides in Brownsville, WI and recently completed his Master's Degree in Business and Sports Management.
